Author Guidelines – Asian Journal of Public Health and Nursing (AJPHN)
Thank you for considering AJPHN as the platform to share your valuable research in the field of Public Health and Nursing. AJPHN accepts the following types of manuscripts:
1) Research Article
Abstract: Up to 250 words
Manuscript: 2200–3000 words (excluding tables, figures, and references)
Figures/Tables: 1 to 3 tables, 1–2 figures
References: 25 to 50
2) Brief Report
Abstract: Up to 150 words
Manuscript: 1000–1500 words (excluding tables, figures, and references)
Figures/Tables: 1 table, 1 figure
References: 10 to 15
3) Systematic Review
Abstract: Up to 250 words
Manuscript: 2500–3500 words (excluding tables, figures, and references)
Notes: Only systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and scoping reviews are accepted. Narrative literature reviews are not accepted.
Figures/Tables: 1 to 3 tables, 1–2 figures
References: 30 to 60
Manuscript Preparation
All manuscripts must be written in American English.
Use the Harvard referencing style consistently throughout.
Use reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero.
Include a title page with:
Title of the manuscript
Author names and affiliations
Corresponding author’s email
Abstract
Provide a structured abstract with content relevant to your manuscript type.
Abstracts must include Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Keywords
Provide 3 to 5 keywords that represent your study.
Use MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) terms when possible.
Manuscript Structure
Organize the manuscript using the following sections:
Background
Methods
Results
Discussion
Conclusion
Figures and Tables
All figures and tables must be submitted in high quality.
Place them at the end of the manuscript, after the references.
Each figure and table must have an appropriate caption.
Number them in the order they appear in the text.
References
Use the Harvard referencing style throughout.
All cited references must appear in the reference list and vice versa.
Follow the required number of references based on the manuscript type.
Ethical Considerations
All studies must follow recognized ethical guidelines.
Provide information on ethics committee approval and informed consent (if applicable).
Clearly disclose any funding sources or conflicts of interest.
Manuscript Submission
Submit your manuscript via the AJPHN online submission system.
Include a cover letter briefly outlining the significance and originality of the work.
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review.
Authors are encouraged to suggest 3 to 6 potential reviewers with no conflict of interest and strong academic credentials.
Manuscript Acceptance
Authors will receive notification of the editorial decision.
Revisions may be requested prior to acceptance.
Final manuscripts will be copyedited and formatted by the AJPHN editorial team.

AJPHN is a fully open access journal. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
Authors retain the copyright of their work.
