Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to AJPHN will go through a thorough screening and review process to ensure they align with the journal's scope and meet the required academic standards and originality. AJPHN utilizes a single-blind peer review system, where authors do not know the identities of the reviewers. The process includes:

1. Initial Screening: Upon submission, the Assistant Editor will check the manuscript for basic submission criteria, while one of the Editors-in-Chief will assess its compliance with the journal's standards. Manuscripts that do not meet the initial criteria will be rejected without further evaluation.

2. Peer Review: If the manuscript passes the initial screening, it will be assigned to a handling editor who will then send it to at least two experts in the field for a single-blind peer review.

3. Decision: A decision regarding the peer-reviewed manuscript will be made only after receiving at least two review reports. At this stage, the manuscript can be rejected, sent back for revisions (either major or minor), or accepted. If accepted, it will be returned to the author for formatting. The final decision to accept the manuscript rests with the Editor-in-Chief, based on reviewers' recommendation.
